1998-2002 Firebird LED Switchback Turn Signal Bulbs
Modern LED switchback front turn signal bulbs for 1998-2002 Firebird/Trans Ams. These unique LED turn signal bulbs light up white when your headlights are on and switch to amber when the turn signal is used. Also will light up amber during when headlights are off as part of the daytime running light feature on all Firebirds and Trans Ams. 1998-2002 Firebirds can use LED flashers instead of resistors on each light, swap flasher and led bulbs will operate like normal. We can add flashers to your order or you can use your own if they are the correct type. Email us if you have any questions. Will not work on Camaros, since Camaros have an amber lens they will still appear amber and Camaro housings are too short. Includes a pair of 3157 bulbs.
We have 3 different brands to choose from for switchback bulbs:
Auxito 4XP - aluminum body and built in fan keeps the bulb cool 2 year warranty
Morimoto XB - Integrated fan keeps critical components cool, 30w output. More leds in the bulb increase output for brighter output. 2 Year Warranty +$30
Diode Dynamics - Housed in an aluminum casing for maximum heatsinking properties. Forward and side facing leds. 3 Year Warranty +$40

Why are my turn signals too fast or don't work at all when I switch to LED bulbs?
LED bulbs have a lower resistance so older mechanical style flasher relays won't work with them. LED flashers are designed to function with LED bulbs solving turn signal problems like hyper(too fast) flashing or no flashing. The flashers we sell use a ground wire which we combine both flashers and cut to length. Instructions show where flashers go and where to install the ring terminal which makes an easy install, a total of 4 screws to access the area and 1 nut for ring terminal. Unlike cheaper no load flashers, these will still make a low clicking noise so you know your turn signals are on. Using the correct LED flashers will produce no additional heat and will not reduce output of the bulb. Canbus bulbs do not work on 1993-2002 Camaros & Firebirds so you will still need flashers with Canbus bulbs.
